Job Description

Abertech is looking for an Executive Consultant who is highly skilled in planning, leading, and executing on complex and highly-technical projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Executive coach to other VPs and Directors within Engineering
  • Designing/Advising on changes and improvements that could be made within development organizations
  • Leading and implementing projects within these organizations. Either take a hands-on role in leading the project, or take cycles away from existing leaders in the team so that they have time to drive the initiative.

You know you have the right talent if you:

  • Are passionate about Engineering consulting at the executive level – this is a career for you. A love. Not just a job
  • Have 12+ years of experience in developing (either as an individual, leader, or manager) large, technically-deep, applications at a software vendor. Domain experience must be in building software product.
  • Have demonstrated experience with the development and release processes needed to develop production-quality products
    • Demonstrated experience with Agile is a significant advantage
  • Have 8+ years in managing software development teams, with 4+ years either at the Director or at the VP level
  • Are experienced at managing offshore teams
  • Can’t remember the last time you were not considered the best at what you do
  • Thrive under pressure and willingly take on tough assignments
